Ted Harrison Oil Pastels

by Mrs. Vaage's kindergarten

It was our turn to create beautiful art for our school's Art Wall, and we chose to follow Ted Harrison's style of art. We liked the bold colors he uses and the black lines to separate the images. We chose a different medium, though, than he uses - we wanted to work in oil pastels because of their bright and solid colors. Here are some photos of us creating our drawings. Many of our drawings were of turtles, because we were also studying about Franklin, the turtle.

We learned that by using Ted Harrison style of art, we created beautiful pictures that we were very proud of. We also learned that it takes a lot of hard work to color in all the paper so that no white showed. It took us a very long time to get our work finished.
