To show our national pride in our classroom; we had a display of books that described Canada, portrayed jobs in Canada, and gave us information of animals that live in Canada.

We made our own Canada Flag to hang in our classroom with our hand prints. Everyone in the class had to give us a hand in creating our flag.

Every Monday morning, after prayer, our school sings our National Anthem together. This is new for our school but was welcomed when we approached the office with the idea. (At first, our students referred to it as the song they sing at hockey games)

In the halls, we made a display of our country and some of the highlights of our country such as hockey, some natural resources and provinces. It was interesting to hear and see children gathering around the board, pointing to where they have been on the map as well as reading the facts and looking at the pictures.
