PAUL'S FAVOURITE CANADIAN RECIPE

   

5 CHEESE LASAGNA

~  1 Quan-Lasagna noodles

~  2 beaten eggs

~  8oz grated cheddar cheese

~  8oz cream cheese

~  8oz grated Havarti cheese

~  1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese

~  2tbsp butter

~  2tbsp flour, all purpose

~  1 cup milk

~  1 cup chicken stock

~  3 cups chunky tomato sauce

~  Cook the noodles as directed

~  Blend the eggs with the cheeses, reserve 1/2 cup (125ml) of parmesan,-chill

~  Heat the butter in a sauce pan.

~  Add flour and cook for 2 minutes.

~  Add the milk and chicken stock.

~  Simmer to a thin sauce.

~  In a large buttered baking dish, place a thin layer of tomato sauce.

~  Top this with a layer of noodles.

~  Spread onto this, a layer of cheese topped by another layer of sauces.

~  Repeat this until complete.

~  Be sure to finish with a layer of tomato sauce. 

~  Sprinkle with remaining parmesan.

~  Cover with foil and bake in a preheated 400 degree F (200 degree C) oven for 25 minutes.

~  Remove the foil and continue to bake for 8 minutes more.

~Serve.
